Guinness World Record for Largest Online Poker Tournament

Posted under online poker & poker tournament & texas hold em tournament

Full Tilt Poker will attempt to stamp its name on the Guinness Records and to do so; the site has announced that it will try to set a new record for the Largest Online Poker Tournament. Full Tilt’s Record Breaker tournament was unveiled as the finale to FIVE, a week of events and promotions created exclusively to celebrate the site’s 5th anniversary. The tournament will take place on July 19th at 15:05ET, players can buy in for this event for only $5 or 1000 Full Tilt Points and compete for a share of a $250,000 guaranteed with $250,000 added prize pool. Players can also get entries to this event by playing the online satellites available on the site and starting for as little as 30 cents or 50 Full Tilt Points.

Team Full Tilt pros and WSOP bracelet winners Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Phil Ivey have already confirmed they will take part in the event, offering players the chance to sit down at this historic tournament and play with some of the best high stakes and tournament pros in the world.

“By extending the limits of what is possible in online poker tournaments, Full Tilt Poker will allow players to compete for a big payout without the big buy-in,” said Team Full Tilt member Howard Lederer.

Putting together a poker tournament of this magnitude would be nearly impossible for any brick and mortar casino or poker room. The current record for the largest “live” poker tournament was set at the 2006 WSOP Main Event with 8,772 players. To break the current Guinness Record set by PokeStars.com in December, 2008, Full Tilt Poker will need to attract over 35.000 players. If successful, this tournament will establish Full Tilt Poker as World Record holder and cement its reputation as a world leader in online poker industry.

Is Boasting in Texas Hold’em Poker a Smart Tactic?

Posted under poker tournament & texas hold em & texas hold em tournament

poker room
One of the most loathed opponents at the no limit Texas Hold’em poker table most every time will constantly be the attention-seeker. You recognize the person I’m telling you about. He’s the player that finds a place at the Texas Hold’em table and makes evident you’re aware that he wants all of your no limit Texas Hold’em poker chips; exiting the no-limit Texas Hold’em table with the very same attitude that he arrived with. Even if the guy gets killed, he has the thought that he is the finest Texas Hold’em player hands down.

Though the majority of Texas Hold’em Poker players would prefer to keep away from opponents of this type, there exist other poker players who could say that show-boating may have its positive side. So, the question on everyone’s mind is: Is there honestly a clever no limit Texas Hold’em poker bragger or devious poker bragger? Boasting about how proficient you are in Texas Hold’em is essentially just like affirming: “I am the best no-limit Texas Hold’em player on earth, don’t forget to be on the ball while you’re sitting in a Texas Hold’em game against me!” Most certainly that is the nastiest vibe to give off playing Texas Hold’em Poker. Furthermore, giving away too much information about your Texas Hold’em Poker playing manner can be quite harmful to your no limit Texas Hold’em poker game. You most certainly do not want these individuals to know how you bet on specified Texas Hold’em Poker hands.

Moreover there are those Texas Hold’em players who might use showing-off as a sort of Texas Hold’em Poker technique, or bluff. Show-boating when you are dealt a specific poker hand may fool your opponents and puzzle them about your no-limit Texas Hold’em playing approach. There are a few people who may deem this plan somewhat unethical, but it is important to not forget that there are not too many rules against it in Texas Hold’em. No limit Texas Hold’em poker is all about working with what you got and utilizing it to the end.

Is it Possible to Make Money Playing Online Texas Hold’em?

Posted under Poker & texas hold em & texas hold em tournament

poker millionaires
Take a minute to imagine if you were to talk to any average guy or girl off the street about online Texas Hold’em poker, they almost certainly wouldn’t consider Texas Hold’em poker to be a game of tactics, plans, or close examination. More than likely when you mention Texas Hold’em with them, they would in all probability envision some guys lounging around their TV room talking and smoking cigars. They also may believe online Texas Hold’em poker to be a game of pure luck rather than talent, more like a game of blackjack rather than checkers, for instance.

So the big question you might be asking yourself is: “Can I make money playing Texas Hold’em?”. You might not believe it but, there are folks who actually earn a living this way. Some people not only come out on top by playing Texas Hold’em, but also earn a living by competing in poker tournaments. The main thing you have to remember about online poker is that although you can play in a Las Vegas, Nevada casino, alongside roulette tables and casino slots; in poker you are not contending against the house but against other online Texas Hold’em poker players. So, in all reality, you are putting up your hard cash against other rivals in a match of expertise unlike a game of luck.

You might be saying to yourself: “Doesn’t it pay to be lucky?” Obviously in online poker, no one is aware which hands will be dealt out. That doesn’t necessarily signify that one cannot play with a certain quantity of pre-game information. One key point to not forget in Texas Hold’em is that numbers do not lie. Statistics has a rather significant part in the game of online poker. So much so, that even if you get fairly lucky time and again the statistics always have a way of bringing you back to reality.

Try to remember that Las Vegas, Nevada casino games comparable to online poker where you are essentially competing against other real-life players CAN be won. One will find that the more you play the game of poker, you will notice that it is more of game of expertise and not just natural luck.

Internet poker allows recreational poker players the opportunity to play in pro Texas Hold em Tournaments with pro Texas Hold em players, but these non-professional Texas Hold em players ought to avoid any disruptions that could hurt their chances to win big money.

Many online Texas Holdem players become sidetracked by their environment, or probably by the internet poker webpage they are playing on. The game of poker is a game of expertise as well as absolute attentiveness, no matter if you are playing at home, or in a brick and mortar poker room.

Most likely, the biggest blunder that online Texas Holdem poker players commit is by competing in more than one table at once. The better part of amateur Full Tilt Poker players will assume that this is a good scheme, but at the end of the day it could prove to be a harm. This scheme of playing different Texas Hold em tables simultaneously will damage your concentration and at the end of the day cost you big. Don’t forget that even the best Texas Holdem players in the world can commit damaging blunders while concentrating their attention on a number of internet poker tables simultaneously.

Any given online Texas Holdem poker player, may at some point, find themselves playing several Full Tilt Poker tables at the same time, while watching a movie, reading their favorite poker blogs, talking on the phone to friends etc. This is a scenario that should be avoided if you desire to win online Texas Holdem games and make the grade for big internet poker tournaments. Remember to concentrate your attention on the other internet poker player’s wagers, their intentions, and your own online Texas Holdem hands if you desire to be the best Texas Hold em player.

Several Tips for fooling your Texas Hold Em opponents

Posted under poker championship & texas hold em & texas hold em tournament

poker
An important facet in poker tournaments is misleading your competitors by persuading them into thinking you have a good poker hand, when in reality it is possible your hand is much worse than theirs. This is what people call “Poker face”, a straight-face for tricking your poker buddies into supposing an idea that may not be true.

Having a good poker hand is most likely going to make you feel nervous, could possibly cause your hands to shake, and your pulse race. These are signs that your competitors may pick up on very quickly, especially if they are good friends of yours. Be careful not to peer over at the pot if you have a good poker hand. This is a tell-tale sign to your competition that you are, in your head, counting how much you will possibly win.

In the condition where you have a dreadful poker hand, try not to dodge your competitors eyes, keep your eyes up, and don’t be indecisive about your bet. In the event that you can prove to yourself that your hand is just as good, or superior than your competitors; you will possibly convince them of this as well. Keep in mind to make this seem as normal as possible. Your use of body language and motions might be saying one idea, while the things you are talking about are making them believe something entirely different.

One more crucial point of poker is to be conscious of the competition’s “poker tells”. A “tell” is a look or appearance that could might give away information about their hand. One critical point to remember is when your competitor appears as if he has a good poker hand; he, most likely, has a very weak hand. On the other side of the coin, if he behaves in a way that seem like he has a poor poker hand, he probably has a pretty decent hand.
